The need for a sustainable energy supply is becoming more important with declining fossil energy resources, environmental pollution and climate change. The international community has agreed upon the use of renewable energy as an instrument towards sustainable energy development. Management of these energy resources and technologies is a vital issue globally and it needs well trained workforce – from policy level to practitioner level. The study program Renewable Energy Management will contribute in renewable energy promotion in countries, especially the developing countries in tropics and subtropics, via a holistic renewable energy management concept. The master provides a platform where students can acquire necessary skills, methods and knowledge to achieve this goal.
